Our Ethics
Being an ethical business means being upfront and honest about our abilities and what reasonable expectations for training goals are. Many dog training companies love to make big, good sounding promises to help sell their business. The harm comes later when, once training is complete, those unrealistic or sometimes even completely unachievable goals are still not achieved. At Red Star K9 we understand that not every dog is capable of everything, and that's okay. We fix what we can, and create alternatives for what can't be fixed.

What Ethics Look Like
"Ethics are principles that help determine what is right and wrong to guide our behavior and choices"
Too often people tend to think of the ethical thing being the "fair" thing, and while often true this isn't always the case. Fallowing threw on your promises and setting reasonable expectations are a big part of the principles of ethics when it comes to business, but so is enforcing those thing and sometimes that can feel a little "unfair". It is the constant and reliable accountability of our ethics that make them good. We are not a 50%, or sometimes, with our policies, it is ALWAYS. This way we can ensure accountability not only for ourselves but for our clients helping to better the world one dog and dog handler at a time.
